About Claire Kayser
Claire Kayser is a working artist and painting teacher living in Chicago, IL. From the South and transplanted in the twin cities 13 years ago, and now to the north shore of Chicago, she has furthered her art production and gained more students to teach over the past few years in her weekly COLOR CAFE classes. Claire has loved painting since she was a child. It's just been part of her being. She comes from a long lineage of artists - painters, photographers, writers, designers - and it feeds her soul! She paints in her home studio and also teaches to small groups and private lessons.
For graduate school, Claire studied art in Tuscany in a small hill town called Cortona. It was a life-changing experience for her, and it's a place she had hoped to return to someday. Well, that time came in 2009 when she and her identical twin sister Carole Foret (also a working artist and teacher in their hometown of Athens, AL), decided to hold workshops in that town. 2010 was the first year, and it was a huge success and a wonderful experience! Carole and Claire (www.caroleandclaire.com) are NOW taking reservations for their next Tuscan Painting Journey in September 2011!
